Helmet Adjustments and Favorite Things

It's getting more and more difficult to find time to blog these days. The babies are officially out of their "sleepy baby" phase, which makes it more difficult and more fun all at the same time. Livi and Henry have been in their helmets for about a week full time (23 hours a day). These two have adjusted well and don't mind the helmets one bit. We were a bit nervous about how our nights would go, but the helmets haven't seemed to change their sleep patterns. Yesterday morning was the first helmet check-up since wearing them full time.  They only needed some minor adjustments. For example, the top part was cut back slightly to allow more air in so their heads won't get so sweaty.  In other triplet news, the babies are showing more and more personality every day. Beckett Beckett and his horse They are also having daily conversations with each other, which usually consists of telling jokes and making each other laugh.

Hip-Hip Hooray! It's Helmet Day!

You can probably tell by today's blog title that I'm excited the day has come that we get to take helmets home. The sooner Livi and Henry get started, the sooner they will be done wearing them. We were promised that no other appointments would take as long as today's 3 hour appointment. Each baby took turns trying on their helmet made especially for them, then the doctor would go make adjustments as needed.  Neither Henry nor Livi seemed to mind all the helmet activity on their heads. Hopefully this attitude will remain the same, especially once they start sleeping with the helmets on at night. We have a schedule to follow, which will ease these little two into the cranial molds slowly. Livi was really interested in looking over and approving this timeline herself. Six Month Update

We are a week past the triplets' six month birthday. I sometimes don't believe that these chunky babies were born five weeks premature.  (Henry looks ginormous in the above picture, but he's actually not much bigger than Beckett. This photo is deceiving!) I can now give an official Six Month Update since we visited their pediatrician today. Livi Weight: 14 pounds, 6 ounces (15 percentile) Length: 26 inches (54 percentile) # of teeth: 2, plus more coming in ~ doesn't think she needs to sleep ~loves her Baby Einstein exercauser (and just sitting up in general) ~ Aria is her best friend ~She likes making people laugh Beckett weight: 19 pounds, 7 ounces (78 percentile) height: 24 and 1/4 inches (74 percentile) # of teeth: 2 ~ loves food! Beckett especially loves how the frozen fruit feels on his teething gums in t hese mesh feeders that Santa brought. ~ the leader of the pack ~ the coolest dude ever
