26 weeks . Only ten more weeks until we hit our goal of 36 weeks! The babies are growing so well. Babycenter.com says at 26 weeks , one baby should weigh about 1 and 2/3 pounds, but all 3 of our babies are bigger than that. With the excitement of Prince William and Kate announcing their baby girls' name toda y (Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge), I thought I would also announce our babies' names that we picked out the day we learned what their genders were. Baby A:   heart rate: 145 weight 2 lbs. 3 ounces name: Livi Mae Gilmore We decided to name our own princess Livi as a spin-off of Levi's name. It's like Junior, but for a girl. I'm 21 weeks , but didn't have the opportunity to do a belly photo, so let's just talk about the baby's pictures! Baby A:  heart rate: 143 She put her hand in front of her face a few times. The sonographer said the babies have learned to do this because their siblings rub against each other's faces so much.  Baby B: heart rate: 155 I'm far along enough now that we can measure each baby's placenta blood flow. While zooming in on Baby B's placenta, we got a random shot of his tiny ear, which is about 1.4 centimeters long. Our first appointment with our perinatologist was today, 12 weeks and 3 days into pregnancy. Everything went great! We actually will see a whole team of people with each visit, not just our one doctor. The appointment started with the best part: the sonogram. Truly astounding. I'll start with Baby A. Baby A was facing us and waving hi! "He" has a nice, strong heartbeat of about 160 BPM. There was a lot of moving and shaking going on, as Elvis would say , in his own little sac. "Shake, baby, shake!" Baby B (heart rate of about 150) seems like a bit of a mischievous little baby. See that leg sticking up there? "She" was using it quite a bit to kick her twin, who was right on top of her: Baby C (heart rate of about 140) didn't take any nonsense from her sibling. She jumped and pushed back. I can just hear it now, "Hey! Stop kicking me" with the other yelling, "Welllll, get off me!" Already forming that s...

Today at my 10 week check-up, (I'm 11 weeks tomorrow) we graduated from our fertility doctor! We had a sonogram to check on the triplets, visited with the doctor and said our goodbyes. I will start seeing my specialist, a perinatologist , in 2 weeks. We are extremely grateful for all the help the doctors and nurses have given us at this office, but it's time to move on! Each baby is growing well. Baby "A" and "B" are the identical twins, sharing one sac. Baby "C" is all by himself. (It's too early to know the sexes, but I refer to them as him and her instead of calling them "it".) The babies. Before doing IVF, and becoming pregnant with Aria, I began the Couch to 5K plan. Since I was told not to do any exercise like running during a big part of the IVF process, I quit running all together. I didn't think it was worth it when I got the exciting news of my pregnancy. What if something happened- would I blame myself for continuing to run? Today was my first run back on the plan! The weather was perfect- a crisp 60 degrees. It felt so good, I really didn't even want to quit. I skipped "Week 1" of the Couch to 5K plan because it felt too easy. (I guess it is true- muscles do have memory!) Workout 1, week 2 felt like much more of a workout at my pace. At this rate, I'll be able to run a 5K in 5 weeks. Everyone else in Kansas City is saying it, so now it's my turn. I can't believe we had a big snow storm the end of March! Since the roads were dicey this morning, the church said the orchestra could stay home. I'm so glad our church broadcasts online so we could watch from home! Gus was happy we had church at home too so he could get more cuddle time in. He loves using my big belly as a pillow. Gus also loves cuddling with a blanket. "I know there's a ball in there somewhere..." "I found it!" After iChurch, it was time to get some work done. The nursery is basically finished, we just have a couple of this and thats to add, but I love it! I even stocked up the diaper stacker.
