Triple Threat at 18 Months

Good Sunday, everyone! Have you hunkered down for the scary ice storm that wasn't as bad as the majority of the meteorologists scare us into thinking it would be? We have, which has led me to a bit of cabin fever, which led me to cleaning out my closet. Did you know that Turbo Tax has an app called "It's Deductible" that helps you track your donations to keep track for your taxes? I have started it and it's super easy. It will even give you an estimate on the worth of each item donated and the value that it adds to your tax return. Last time we had a "snow day", we decided to get out of the house and go to Old McDonald's, as Aria calls it. The weather has been nice enough to us, though, that we have been able to have two play dates already for 2017.  We rang in the new year with Aria's favorite girls, and a couple weeks later we got together for a triplet and siblings play date. You can't tell by this picture ...

A Snowy Triplet Update

Have you enjoyed the snow? I'm glad we finally got to take the kids sledding this weekend, that's for sure! Grammy bought Colbin this sled for Christmas a couple years ago. We reminded Grammy that we are going to need four more sleds! Sledding on a snowy day and baking on a snowy day seem to go hand in hand. Colbin wanted to help me bake cookies. I love baking, but I'm not big on sweets during this pregnancy. I believe it's due to me carrying two boys. :) Now on to those triplets... I'm now 17 weeks pregnant and feeling great!  Our appointment today took all morning. We had a very detailed sonogram that took about an hour and a half. They measured everything you could think of measuring: head, heart, brain, feet, hands, bladder- you name it. It was measured. Baby A (the girl)~ heartbeat: 158 weight: 7 ounces Everything on target! Baby B (one of the boy twins):  heartbeat: 142 weight: 8 ounces We got to see several shots of cu...

Totally Worth It

6,655 steps today. I fell short of my daily 10,000 steps goal, but I still consider that a decent amount considering I was home most of the day and not at work. It will be interesting to see how many steps I average on a daily basis this week when I am at school. I am also giving up soda for Lent. I have already been trying to cut back this past month. I usually do OK, as I have just a few sips here and there and that seems to get me by. Since Lent starts Wednesday, I made a run to Sonic for a small drink while my mom was here with Aria. She let me take her car since she parked behind me. Isn't it fun driving someone else's vehicle? No, I didn't wear make-up or fix my hair today. Anyway, with giving up pop, I want to track my water intake to be sure that I am drinking the recommended 64 oz. per day. Today, I hit that goal exactly. IVF update: Friday I had a "baseline" sonogram to do a quick scan. Everything looks healthy and ready. One of my hormone...

Why Do I Write About Our Fertility Challenges?

What's on TV all day long during the week? Even though I have cabin fever from snow days, I wouldn't know the answer to this question because I have been Netflixing. In case you haven't heard, "Netflixing", as UrbanDcitionary.com defines it is 1. The act of watching an entire season of a show in one season. 2. A total valid excuse for avoiding social obligations. "Sorry I can't make it to the party tonight. I am netflixing." I saw that someone on Facebook had started the show, " Hart of Dixie ". Since it's not a show Levi would like (too "girly"), I started it on my snow days. I am now almost done with season 2 and I haven't turned it off since it began on my flatscreen. Alas, our district has not canceled school tomorrow (yet) so I think my weeklong, non-stop Hart of Dixie  watching is coming to an end, as well as my nonstop time with Aria. The two of us have had some great bonding time. ...

Nothing to Do But Take Pictures

Snow, snow, snow.  It started snowing this morning and it's still snowing.  Because of this, of course Aria and I did nothing today but cuddle. She was up bright and early, right after Daddy left at 6:30 am.  She wasn't up for long, though. She took two long naps today. It seems like bad weather always makes her a hard sleeper.  She will sleep so hard that she sticks her butt up in the air and it doesn't phase her. This hard sleep gave me a chance to make another batch of my breakfast muffins . You have to try these! They are amazing and pretty healthy. I have replaced my daily FiberOne bar with these "oatmeal cupcakes" and couldn't be happier to get rid of another processed food. Besides the baking, it was a fairly uneventful day. We played, we ate, we sent cute pictures to my mom and sisters. I couldn't stop taking pictures. My favorite part of the day was sitting on the couch with...
