Summer Lovin'

Image
Hi, friends. Livi and Henry would like to share some exciting news with you. Livi has had her helmet off for about a month now  and Henry just a couple of weeks, but yesterday was our last visit to Hanger Clinic because they are officially done with their cranial molding! Just look at these beautifully shaped heads. The before and after pictures tell the story. Livi's Before: Notice the asymmetry on the right side of her head. Livi's After: She went from 15mm of asymmetry to 4mm.  Also, take a look at her proximal growth on the top of her head compared to what it was before the helmet. Henry's before: (It's pretty much the same as Livi's.) Henry's After: Amazing improvement and we are so thankful for a great experience with the Hangar Clinic . We are also thankful for summer. Our social life has greatly improved because of school being out and teachers on break. We've already had three play dates this week!...

First Timers

Winter. You can really go away now. This year the winter has been so rough on the littles. We made two trips to urgent care this week alone. Livi has a cold, the boys have RSV and Aria has her second ear infection this month, less than a week after getting a stomach bug for the second time. The good news is, our new triplet wagon was a hit when we took it for her maiden voyage to the doctor yesterday. I thought Aria would be upset she couldn't ride, but she was instead elated that she got to help me pull the trio. Besides our first triplet wagon ride, we have also had many other firsts around here lately. Our first time in our IKEA high chairs: First time using these bibs Aunt Nat Nat got us for the baby shower:     Mr. Pears Mustache First time hanging out on the back deck: First time using our tunnel: Woo-who, this triplet plus a toddler thing is starting to get fun!  For me, since deciding I ...

Thankful Thursday: 4 Week Check-Up

Now that Levi is done with his "paternity leave", I am home on my own this week. I am thankful he had two weeks vacation time to use to help out and to bond with our newborns. Last week, I had a practice run of being on my own. Levi and Colbin went out together to run errands, go to the dentist, etc. and were gone half a day. They also spent a lot of time outside with Aria. I have to say, being on my own was a success! I'm thankful I didn't have triplets my first pregnancy because I don't think I would have been as calm about it as I am now. I do have some helpers dropping in here and there, but for the most part handling three babies and a two year old on my own isn't too crazy yet. Our routine keeps me sane and it keeps the kids sane too. I am thankful we have parents close by to help out. My mother-in-law took the first shift of helping me get the babies to their 4 week check-up today. I am thankful for beautiful, healthy babies. ...

Two Weeks Already

Tuesday was such an amazing day! After 12 days of being in the NICU, our babies came home.  We know we are incredibly blessed that our preemies spent such a little amount of time there. The doctors and nurses tell us that is by no means the norm for triplets- especially to all leave on the same day. My big from South Carolina was here for the special day too! Since we've been home, it's all about routine- around the clock. The babies eat every three hours, one at a time. In between feeds, we have been enjoying bonding and cuddling time. lounging~ tummy time~ bath time~ sleepy time~ more tummy time~ Livi doesn't seem to like tummy time, so we are taking it slow with her. In other news, today the triplets are two weeks old and we had our first check up at our pediatrician's office. All three are doing so awesome! Livi and Beckett have gained 8 ounces since being discharged from the NICU.  Henry has gai...
