Triple Threat at 18 Months

Image
Good Sunday, everyone! Have you hunkered down for the scary ice storm that wasn't as bad as the majority of the meteorologists scare us into thinking it would be? We have, which has led me to a bit of cabin fever, which led me to cleaning out my closet. Did you know that Turbo Tax has an app called "It's Deductible" that helps you track your donations to keep track for your taxes? I have started it and it's super easy. It will even give you an estimate on the worth of each item donated and the value that it adds to your tax return. Last time we had a "snow day", we decided to get out of the house and go to Old McDonald's, as Aria calls it. The weather has been nice enough to us, though, that we have been able to have two play dates already for 2017.  We rang in the new year with Aria's favorite girls, and a couple weeks later we got together for a triplet and siblings play date. My Four Excuses

I had an unexpected break from exercise. Why? I have four excuses. 1.  2. 3. 4.  After we watched some football yesterday, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and take all of the kids for a walk. The triple decker is not made for walking long distances, but we still pushed out a mile with it. Even Livi was happy on the walk,                                          for a few minutes. My friend, Quadruplyblessed , who has triplets not much older than mine, wrote about her new fitness goals and inspired me to get back on the program. And with that, I completed the first day of the Couch to 5K program today. And thi...

7 Weeks Postpartum

I am now 7 week postpartum. Although the babes are only 7 weeks, I am trying to get them on a routine, besides just the daily grind of eating every 3 hours. After their 8 am feed, when the three of them are at one of their most demanding times of the day, I try to keep them awake for as long as possible so they all sleep well when it's time for Aria's nap. That alone is the only time of day where I know all three will stay awake at the same time. Another big challenge each day is keeping Aria entertained. We started a "Mommy and Me" dance class a couple of weeks ago and she absolutely loves it. It's  a great break from being home and it gives us something to do together. My biggest challenge of all is my weight. I haven't done much of anything yet to start the process of losing 35 pounds except for going on a few walks. I'm trying to ease back into running without over-doing it. Here is my weight-loss action plan: 1. Use th...
