How did you celebrate the Fourth? We tried a couple different patriotic bows on A, but she wasn't having it. She much prefers hats. The family packed the day with watching a boat show, a pool party, and of course an insane amount of food. Everyone had a fabulous time and was exhausted when the day was over. Does anyone else add things to checklists just so you can cross them off? I did this with KC's Sealife Aquarium and our Summer To-Do list. Sealife was not on my summer to-do list, but we were invited to go on a hot summer day. Aria doesn't like touching "weird" things, so we didn't spend long at the sensory tank. She thoroughly enjoyed the other sites to see. More importantly, it was a great time with great friends. Have a great Wednesday, everyone!

Sleep

Call me crazy, but I chose the 4th of July                                               as the night to start putting Aria in her own room. She was outgrowing the basinet in her pack n play we've been using and I was curious to see if she'd sleep better in her own room. Aria did great. I, on the other hand, did not. Then I stayed awake worrying that it would wake Aria up. It never did. The next evening, Friday, we both slept great. Maybe it was because we had a great 2 mile walk that day. I love this walking route. There are lots of trees, which makes for great shade! Not only did I sleep like a rock, Levi got up with the baby when she woke up at 5 am on Saturday morning. I slep...

Aria's first Fourth

Saturday I noticed Gus was having some problems when he went to go potty. His urine was just coming out in little drops and it was taking forever  for him to go. When I called the vet, she wanted him to come in right away. They X-Rayed his bladder and did a couple tests. She couldn't find any stones or anything else wrong, so she gave me a drug used for bladder cancer and a very expensive bill then sent us on our way. A couple days later, Gus hadn't gotten better plus he was vomiting quite a bit. We went back in to see the vet for more tests. The doc still couldn't find a reason why he was having this problem. We switched to a new drug that would help his bladder muscles work better. She said we can't rule out some kind of untraceable cancer, or the fact that this could possibly be linked to his osteosarcoma (the cancer that caused him to lose a leg) but the good news is the osteosarcoma has not spread to his lungs! Yes! The downside to the new drug wa...
