A Royal Four Months

Image
I could be downtown KC today for the parade celebrating the Royals winning the World Series. But I will be watching it from the comfort of my own home instead.  (disclaimer: this is not my baby) My little Royals babies turned 4 months old yesterday!  Their check up at the pediatrician's office only took 2 hours. Only. The doctor started with testing all three of them for RSV since everyone in our house, including the triplets, have been fighting a cold. Thankfully, they do not have RSV and we are all on the mend.  Livi weight: 11 pounds, 9 ounces (11 percentile) height: 23 inches (11 percentile) clothing size: 0-3 month eating: 6 ounces of formula with added rice every 4 hours Livi is gaining weight as growing like she should, but as I stated above, she is still small for her age. This is always to be expected when a baby is born five weeks premature.  Our baby girl is also on target with her development. Plus, sh...

A Weekend of Firsts

Image
The Gilmores had a weekend of firsts.  Like A's first time for squash! My first jogging stroller! Everything baby was on sale at Target this week. I found myself a Baby Trend jogging stroller. While I can't use it until Aria is about 6 months, I pushed it around the house. It's a nice ride! Aria helped Daddy get this stroller put together by reading him the directions. Wow, that was hard work! Aria's bath time had a slight change. For the first time, she sat in the opposite direction of her tub to keep her stay upright easier.  Aria experienced her first Greek restaurant Saturday for her fairy-godmother's birthday! (Georgia).  Unfortunately, Aria is sick for the first time. Runny nose, congested, up all night. You know the drill. Nothing a humidifier and a little daddy/doggy time won't make better.  And finally, Aria had her first Chiefs party...

A Short and Sweet Post

Image
This morning Aria was just too tired for play before going to work. Can you see it in her eyes? I still have to try for play time. I savor those little moments. After work, I hold her while I eat my afternoon snack. Every time I put a piece of watermelon in my mouth I smile and say, "Mmmmmm!" Clearly she loves this, based on this look that she always give me: I love her more and more the older she gets!

Peas!

Image
It was so hard to leave this beautiful baby this morning! Once we got home, we had great fun playing. Give me that remote! We used the Baby Bullet for the first time and I am so happy with it! The Baby Bullet comes with a very helpful little handbook on what foods to feed your baby, what age to feed her certain foods and the best ways to puree.  Since Aria was having peas for the first time tonight, we made a small batch in the little cup. Once I know more about how she reacts to each food, I can make larger batches in the bigger cup and even store food in the freezer in the handy trays that come with the Bullet.  To get started on peas, Aria got to test out the high chair for the first time.  "Is this a carseat? I hate the carseat!" Take the first bite... wonder what that weird-textured stuff is... then think, "Hey, this isn't so bad!" Just watch:  :) After peas and a bath, this baby girl was...
