Thanksgiving Then and Now

Image
Hi. Remember me?  I used to blog about once a week. Now I sign on here once in a blue moon. Triplet life. That's all I can say. How was Thanksgiving for everyone? I hope you all had amazing food like we did.  We started our day at Bass Pro. Yes, we shopped on Thanksgiving. We had a particular gift for a certain someone and wanted to make sure we got it before being picked over. We also wanted to get to Santa while we had Daddy with us. The rest of our day was typical family fun! This year with the triplets was way more fun than last year because they could run around, play with each other and keep themselves entertained; whereas last year they wanted to be mobile, but weren't and I spent the day trying to hold all three of them to keep them happy.   (When we were kids, my mom would call this "The Scanlan Nap Time". ) After an afternoon of Black Friday shopping with all the kids this afternoon, I had to laugh at how di...

Born on the 2nd of July

Happy 4th of July! Here are the fireworks we are enjoying today~ I have to be completely real and say that originally I made the pictures with their names on them and posted them on I nstagram before Levi told me I mixed up the boys. He was right. Oops. But the above are correct! Livi is still our strongest feeder. Give her a bottle and she has no issues finishing it in a timely matter. Beckett is a good eater too, but sometimes he becomes more interested in sleeping than eating and he has to finish through his feeding tube. proud daddy Henry The Gilmore's section of the nursery was hustling with visitors today. This was the first time Aria got to touch the babies. She did a good job being gentle with them and rubbing their backs like Mommy does. Livi's bed ...

The Big 3-0

How was your weekend? This weekend, we had a diaper party. Shout-out to everyone who came to celebrate with us and thank you for helping us out! I added up the number of diapers that were gifted to us: 1,252! Thank you! On Friday, we made it to 30 weeks gestation! Each new week pregnant is a celebration when you're pregnant with multiples, especially 30 weeks and beyond! We gained a great deal of knowledge about the triplets at today's appointment.  First, today was our first NST at the doctor (non-stress test). This test measures each baby's heart rate to see how they respond to their own movements. It took two nurses to hold the monitors over the three babies, plus one more monitor to measure my contractions. (I only had a couple little contractions and that was probably due to the babies moving.) The babies' heart rates have to accelerate at this stage of gestation at least once in twenty minutes. All of the...
