Busy Bees

The Gilmore squad has been busy! Aria started preschool last week. She's only going one day a week right now, but she loves it and has a blast! We have transitioned the boys out of our room at night and into their cribs. Livi lasted about 4 hours in a crib, so she is back in our room. We are working on it, but as of right now she won't have any of that. She didn't get the nickname Dragon for no reason, after all. We have managed to get all the kids out of the house two times in the past week. The first time was for Colbin's football game. All by myself, I loaded up all four little ones and got to the school to meet Levi and Grammy. I've been asked "How did you do that?" Well, I just strapped them in carseats and had to listen to them cry for a little bit.  Dragon Livi cried the whole way there, but once we arrived at our destination, everyone was happy happy happy. I think the babies and Aria thoroughly enjoyed the fresh ai...

Labor Day Weekend

Image
Happy Labor Day! As you can imagine, there isn't much to do on Labor Day when three of the seven family members are little babies so we are just relaxing at home with lots of food.  Speaking of food, I don't think I lost weight this week and I am in no mood to weigh myself and find out. Being a stay-at-home mom is highly rewarding, but also highly stressful when there are triplets in the mix.  Some days, the babies don't understand that when Aria is asleep, everyone needs to be asleep.  (Except Henry. He usually  understands this.)                                          Because of that stress, I ate like crap this week and didn't get the chance to exercise.  But, it is a new week and I will have a fresh start tomorrow.  On the bright side, football season has begun, and Grammy came over Saturday to he...

Two Days of Thankfulness

Image
I didn't have a chance to blog yesterday, but I don't want to miss a day of thankfulness just because I spent the day with friends at the Chiefs game. This leads me to Day 2 of thankfulness: I'm uber thankful for a strong, Christian-based marriage. The two of us have numerous things in common- a love of sports being one of the many. Levi is my rock, my right-hand and my best friend above all else. On Day 3 of thankfulness, a friend posted this. It does ring true. On a day like today, where I woke up feeling like I caught my daughter's cold, it was a dreary day, and of all other things- a Monday.  These things generally don't make a thankful person. Today, however, I would like to be joyful for something as simple as waking up to a new day and living in the present. (Side note: Advil Cold and Sinus is incredible. Take it when you start to feel crummy and it really does help make you feel better!) Have a great Tuesday!

Brrrr~ Baby It's Cold Outside

Image
Sundays are for church, football and being lazy... right? After church, we paid a visit to my parents and got a delicious meal out of it. Aria played, played, played. Looking ahead to tomorrow, we are supposed to have one of the coldest days we've seen in over twenty years, with wind chills close to -40*. This brings me to day 2 of my 21 Day Challenge. Because of the extreme frigid temperatures tomorrow, I got the call that there will be no school. Aria and I were stoked. I'm thankful that not only do I have an amazing career doing what I love, but also that my job gives me the flexibility to not have to get my baby out in negative thirty degree win chills. Maybe tomorrow after we play and nap, we will make a bunch of cookie dough. Then maybe, just maybe, turn that dough into actual cookies. Love those snow days. PS~ The Chiefs loss was hard, but we still love our team! Be careful out there if you get out tomorrow.

I have Pageant rehearsal every night this week. I don't have much time to blog tonight, so I am leaving you with pictures from the past 5 days. We had a great holiday!
