My 20 Things (#Elfforhealth)

The #ElfforHealth challenge for today is to make a list of 20 things you are thankful for. I love my list: 1. Jesus While maybe sometimes I complain about volunteering at the Christmas Pagean t in the orchestra this year because of all the time it takes away from me and my family, ultimately it is the least I could do for the one who died an agonizing death for me. 2. Levi This week has been a very trying time for Levi and me, but especially Levi. Even though he is hurting, he still steps up to be the man of our house and takes care of us. Levi is a true leader and I am proud to call him my husband. 3. My mom Last week my babysitter got a 24 hour stomach bug and couldn't watch Aria. My mom came over for the day to watch Aria. Not only did she babysit, she also cleaned up the house for us and did laundry. It was so nice to come home to that. 4. My job I love my job. Teaching can be very stressful and always involves working more than the typical 40 hour wee...

An Evening With Aria

Pageant week has kept me pretty busy, as expected. I'm so thankful I have a husband that will take care of the fort while I'm gone.  Not only does he hold down the fort, but he also sends me pictures while he's doing it. The no make-up day was not as difficult as I thought it would be. No one told me I looked tired and a student even complimented me on my "grey-blue" eyes. While I felt a little naked without...

I follow a blog called Running with Racheal . She always has fabulous ideas on ways to improve life. Her latest kick is participating in the # Elf4Health holiday challenge. Well, I love a good challenge, so I am on board! Here is the layout for the month: No Meat Monday was pretty easy, since I don't care if I have meat in my meals or not on most days. We had meatless chili that day. Yesterday was Unsubscribe Tuesday. There is a website called Unroll.me that helps you clean up your mailbox. Simply subscribe, then the website will look through your email and find the many different emails you receive every day, then you have the choice to roll them all into one simple email. For example, I get all kinds of emails from Kohl's, Old Navy, Gap, Victoria's Secret, etc. I like being made aware of all their sales, but it definitely does become sometimes overwhelming to get so many emails. Now, all of these emails have been rolled into one daily email. Nice, huh? Moving...
