A Random, Middle of the Week Post

I didn't think this Wednesday would be such an eventful day. Once the tornadoes started to hit in our town and other towns around KC, the power went out in our house, so I started blogging from my phone out of boredom. Once the power came back on, we went back downstairs to check on our freezer and turn off the lights and got another unpleasant surprise: our brand new basement has flooded. I could seriously cry. I'm praying the laminate floor will be ok despite all the water. Since I'm so upset about that, I will finish writing and maybe that will help me get to sleep. Before the tornadoes and flooding, I thought today was eventful for small reasons. Aria and I had a visit from a friend this morning who came bearing gifts. Mary Lee brought us a big meal to freeze. Guess what else she brought to go in the freezer until after the babies are home? Chocolate chip cookies! I take Aria to the library every Wednesday for story time. And We're Crawling

Aria has been filling my days up this week. The 6-9 month wardrobe is in the process of being boxed up. We're on to 9-12 month clothes, and stealing Daddy's hats. Last night, my niece, Jillian celebrated her 11th birthday with us at Olive Garden.                                             Aria always likes a party, but how excited she gets when she sees my mom is the true entertainment.  I'm thankful I got to spend the evening with my niece and the rest of my family. After that great night, Aria was up at 4:30 AM. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that she has four teeth coming in. Ouch. Since we were up at 4:30, I decided to have a fashion show of the clothes we bought Aria last night. Her 9 month professional photo shoot is Saturday. That calls for a new outfit. Summer Lovin'

Hi, friends. Livi and Henry would like to share some exciting news with you. Livi has had her helmet off for about a month now  and Henry just a couple of weeks, but yesterday was our last visit to Hanger Clinic because they are officially done with their cranial molding! Just look at these beautifully shaped heads. The before and after pictures tell the story. Livi's Before: Notice the asymmetry on the right side of her head. Livi's After: She went from 15mm of asymmetry to 4mm.  Also, take a look at her proximal growth on the top of her head compared to what it was before the helmet. Henry's before: (It's pretty much the same as Livi's.) Henry's After: Amazing improvement and we are so thankful for a great experience with the Hangar Clinic . We are also thankful for summer. Our social life has greatly improved because of school being out and teachers on break. We've already had three play dates this week!...
