I have Pageant rehearsal every night this week. I don't have much time to blog tonight, so I am leaving you with pictures from the past 5 days. We had a great holiday!

A Random, Middle of the Week Post

I didn't think this Wednesday would be such an eventful day. Once the tornadoes started to hit in our town and other towns around KC, the power went out in our house, so I started blogging from my phone out of boredom. Once the power came back on, we went back downstairs to check on our freezer and turn off the lights and got another unpleasant surprise: our brand new basement has flooded. I could seriously cry. I'm praying the laminate floor will be ok despite all the water. Since I'm so upset about that, I will finish writing and maybe that will help me get to sleep. Before the tornadoes and flooding, I thought today was eventful for small reasons. Aria and I had a visit from a friend this morning who came bearing gifts. Mary Lee brought us a big meal to freeze. Guess what else she brought to go in the freezer until after the babies are home? Chocolate chip cookies! I take Aria to the library every Wednesday for story time. And We're Crawling

Aria has been filling my days up this week. The 6-9 month wardrobe is in the process of being boxed up. We're on to 9-12 month clothes, and stealing Daddy's hats. Last night, my niece, Jillian celebrated her 11th birthday with us at Olive Garden.                                             Aria always likes a party, but how excited she gets when she sees my mom is the true entertainment.  I'm thankful I got to spend the evening with my niece and the rest of my family. After that great night, Aria was up at 4:30 AM. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that she has four teeth coming in. Ouch. Since we were up at 4:30, I decided to have a fashion show of the clothes we bought Aria last night. Her 9 month professional photo shoot is Saturday. That calls for a new outfit. 5 Month Camera Roll

Happy 5 months to my baby girl! Here's the pictures from our photo shoot today. I just thought this look was funny! Like she's saying, "I've got my eye on your Grandma and Grandpa..." She's happy now, but last night she was up for 3 hours. I could feel two teeth poking through: one on the top gums and one on the bottom. It was a long night. The good news tonight is the heat in the weather finally broke. It was such a nice evening, we sat outside for a little while. Look how funny Aria thinks Gus is when he fetches the ball. The video didn't catch her adorable laughing, but it's still pretty cute. In running news, I jogged 2 miles this evening- no stopping! Jogging has been a real struggle because all the extra weight I'm carrying feels more like 500 pounds instead of 27, but tonight was a success. That's 3 jogs this week!  Here's to keeping it...
