Welcome! I'm Tiffany: a mommy, infertility conqueror, a step-mom, wife, sister, daughter and teacher. I love writing about the things I'm thankful for: my little family that is going from a party of 4 to a party of 7, friends and everything in between.

I have Pageant rehearsal every night this week. I don't have much time to blog tonight, so I am leaving you with pictures from the past 5 days. We had a great holiday!
I found an incredible video on YouTube today. Dr. Karp has been on tons of different talk shows and news shows proving his method of calming a crying baby. He has a book and DVD called The Happiest Baby on the Block . During one of his interviews, Dr. Karp explains his research and how to calm a crying baby in minutes with the 5 S's: 1) Swaddling : Tight swaddling provides the continuous touching and support your baby is used to experiencing within the womb. 2) Side/stomach position : The infant is placed on their left side to assist in digestion, or on their stomach to provide reassuring support. “But never use the stomach position for putting your baby to sleep,” cautions Karp. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is linked to stomach-down sleep positions. When a baby is in a stomach down position do not leave them even for a moment. 3) Shushing sounds : These imitate the continual whooshing sound made by the blood flowing through arteries nea...
I didn't think this Wednesday would be such an eventful day. Once the tornadoes started to hit in our town and other towns around KC, the power went out in our house, so I started blogging from my phone out of boredom. Once the power came back on, we went back downstairs to check on our freezer and turn off the lights and got another unpleasant surprise: our brand new basement has flooded. I could seriously cry. Before the tornadoes and flooding, I thought today was eventful for small reasons. Aria and I had a visit from a friend this morning who came bearing gifts. Mary Lee brought us a big meal to freeze. Guess what else she brought to go in the freezer until after the babies are home? Chocolate chip cookies! I take Aria to the library every Wednesday for story time. Even though she never wants to sit...
How was your weekend? Ours was busy, but we still had time to play. Sunday was our annual Freedom Celebration at church. Since I'm not playing in the orchestra, I got to sit back and enjoy watching for the first time in the 8 years I have been attending our fabulous church. We've made it to 34 weeks so far. That's an accomplishment in and of itself! I'm incredibly proud of these babies! As usual, the babies all got great reports today and passed their tests with flying colors. Baby A: Livi heart rate: 132 She was actually the first to pass her NST today instead of being last like usual. Baby B: Beckett heart rate: 137 Beckett was the sleepy one today. He needed the noise stimulation during the Non-Stress Test, but then woke him up and he passed. He is so squished that we couldn't get any pictures of him today. Baby C: Henry heart rate: 152 As always, Henry is running around all over the place and the life of the ...
