Christmas #2

Friday night we had some visitors. Levi's dad, stepmom and sister came to celebrate my birthday with me. I got to choose where we went to eat. 

Legend of Asia in Blue Springs is always a favorite. I love their sushi! 


Saturday morning I took Aria with me to the salon. She was such a good baby.


After the salon, it was time to get ready for the Hamar family Christmas.

This year for the Hamar Christmas, AKA Levi's mom's side of the family, we decided to meet up in Cameron, MO and stay at a hotel. Less distance to travel and we didn't have to clean up our own mess.

Once we got to the hotel and everyone was settled in,


it was present time!





The Hamar family tradition with present-opening is that once everyone is done opening their presents, we go around the room, one at a time, and show off what each person got. The tricky part is that you have to remember who got you what. 


This was a little trickier for me this year since I spoke for Aria and myself.

This year, we started with the youngest, who was Aria, of course. I tried to take a picture of each gift she got...

After Aria, everyone else shared their fabulous gifts, from youngest to oldest.

Another plus to having Christmas at a hotel is you get to go out to eat and have someone else wait on you. No clean up.




It was a great, short weekend with family. I am thankful everyone arrived safely with the crazy weather we were experiencing.


Once we were home and done watching the Chiefs lose, Levi and I got ready for our date night. Saturday was our anniversary.

We usually go out to a fancy dinner, but since we were in Cameron celebrating Christmas, we decided to finally go see Trans Siberian Orchestra on Sunday to celebrate our 4 years of marriage.






That was our very busy weekend in a very small nutshell.

Today Aria and I are hanging out in our warm home, getting excited for Christmas with my side of the family tomorrow. (Christmas #3 for us!)

Accomplishments of 34 Weeks

How was your weekend? Ours was busy, but we still had time to play. Sunday was our annual Freedom Celebration at church. Since I'm not playing in the orchestra, I got to sit back and enjoy watching for the first time in the 8 years I have been attending our fabulous church.  We've made it to  34 weeks   so far. That's an accomplishment in and of itself! I'm incredibly proud of these babies! As usual, the babies all got great reports today and passed their tests with flying colors. Baby A: Livi heart rate: 132 She was actually the first to pass her NST today instead of being last like usual. Baby B: Beckett heart rate: 137 Beckett was the sleepy one today. He needed the noise stimulation during the Non-Stress Test, but then woke him up and he passed. He is so squished that we couldn't get any pictures of him today. 5 Month Camera Roll

Happy 5 months to my baby girl! Here's the pictures from our photo shoot today. I just thought this look was funny! Like she's saying, "I've got my eye on your Grandma and Grandpa..." She's happy now, but last night she was up for 3 hours. I could feel two teeth poking through: one on the top gums and one on the bottom. It was a long night. The good news tonight is the heat in the weather finally broke. It was such a nice evening, we sat outside for a little while. Look how funny Aria thinks Gus is when he fetches the ball. The video didn't catch her adorable laughing, but it's still pretty cute. In running news, I jogged 2 miles this evening- no stopping! Jogging has been a real struggle because all the extra weight I'm carrying feels more like 500 pounds instead of 27, but tonight was a success. That's 3 jogs this week!  Here's to keeping it

And We're Crawling

Aria has been filling my days up this week. The 6-9 month wardrobe is in the process of being boxed up. We're on to 9-12 month clothes, and stealing Daddy's hats. Last night, my niece, Jillian celebrated her 11th birthday with us at Olive Garden.                                             Aria always likes a party, but how excited she gets when she sees my mom is the true entertainment.  I'm thankful I got to spend the evening with my niece and the rest of my family. After that great night, Aria was up at 4:30 AM. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that she has four teeth coming in. Ouch. Since we were up at 4:30, I decided to have a fashion show of the clothes we bought Aria last night. Her 9 month professional photo shoot is Saturday. That calls for a new outfit. Although I purchased 9-12 month sizes, this outfit is just too tight. The 12-18 month shirt fits just right. Back to the
